Bursaries and Grants
The NBASW offers financial assistance to members for their education or continuing professional development. Applications can be sent to shae.mccarthy@nbasw-attsnb.ca.
Up to $3,000 - CASW & NBASW Grant
Applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis annually.
To assist in the delivery of continuing education to New Brunswick social workers. The grant may be accessed by a single member or a group of members.
Funding for this grant is made possible by BMS, the broker for the CASW liability insurance program, and is offered by the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) in partnership with NBASW.

3 Bursaries of $500 - Co-operators Bursary for Student Members
Deadlines:
- January 31 each year - Université de Moncton BSW/MSW Program
- March 1 each year - Mi’kmaq/Maliseet BSW Program
- November 1 each year - St. Thomas University BSW/MSW Program
Awarded to one student member of the NBASW from each New Brunswick School of Social Work.
Funding for these bursaries is made possible by Co-operators home and auto insurance, in partnership with NBASW.

2 Grants of $1,000 - UNI Education Grant
Deadline: March 1 each year
Awarded to two registered members of the NBASW that reside in New Brunswick pursuing a higher degree in social work, a specialized certificate program, or a course related to social work. Funding to pursue other forms of continuing professional education activities are eligible for consideration.
Funding for these bursaries is made possible by UNI Financial Cooperation in partnership with NBASW.

Studies leading to a higher degree in social work, or to a specialized certificate program or course related to social work may be considered.

Awarded to an NBASW student member and who resides in New Brunswick while studying in a school of social work full time through distance education.
