Communications Officer
The New Brunswick Association of Social Workers is looking for a highly motivated and energetic communications professional who can write, plan and think in a fast-paced environment. This is a one-year contract to cover a maternity leave and is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, however, telework can be negotiated.
The Communications Officer plays a key role in the planning, development and implementation of various communications and media relations activities and initiatives in support of the NBASW mandate. Specific duties include writing communications materials, planning and arranging events, and media relations.
The successful candidate will possess strong writing and editing skills, as well as familiarity with a broad range of communications tools and media, including social media, and the ability to develop and implement innovative and creative communications solutions. Candidates must have good coordination and planning skills that result in value-added communications services. The abilities to work independently, to be part of a professional team, and to manage multiple priorities are required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a university degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field or a two-year college diploma in communications, public relations, journalism or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. The candidate must be bilingual in both official languages.

May be required to travel across the province.

Salary scale of $ 54,631 to $ 73,913 based on education and experience.
