Student Summer Position (8 Weeks)
The New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW) is an organization representing more than 1,900 members provincially. The NBASW’s mission is to protect the public and promote excellence in social work practice.
The NBASW is fortunate to have secured funding from Employment and Social Development Canada to hire a summer student. This 8 week position will be based from the NBASW office in Fredericton. Eligible candidates include young people aged 15 to 30 years, who are full-time students, intending to return to their studies in the next school year.
The student will assist with the research and development of presentations and educational materials for use with social workers, employers and the public. The student may also assist with the development of promotional materials or the organization of events, focused on creating an understanding of the profession of social work and the role of the NBASW.
This job will provide relevant career-related experience to students interested in pursuing a career in social work or currently enrolled in a social work program.
Full time (35 hours per week) for 8 weeks. $12 per hour. Hours would typically be 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
